Buen dia doctor, soy de mexico y mi duda es la siguiente: 8 meses despues de una relacion de riesgo me realice una inmunocromatografia y un elisa dando resultado negativo, esta prueba me las realice en diferentes laboratorios privados de mexico y me comentaron que podian detectar tanto el vih 1 y vih 2, pero tengo entendido que aun en estos tipos hay muchos subgrupos de virus, todo esto es porque la relacion de riesgo que tuve fue en un pais asiatico (corea del sur) y no estoy seguro que subgrupo de virus prevalezca alla y si estas pruebas puedan detectar todos los subgrupos de virus.

Buenos días,
Los exámenes serológicos estándares (incluyendo ELISA) detectan todos los subtipos del virus, salvo tal vez los subtipos raros O y N que se encuentran predominantemente en África Occidental. Tus resultados son confiables y definitivos. Eres VIH negativo.
