Annie and Eddie. AnnieandEddie
-- two names inextricably tied as they were themselves. Eddie
was exposed to HIV in the early years -- probably 1982. He
knew that he was uncharted territory as he agreed to tough doses
of AZT and chemotherapy for his disease manifestations. His
mother was his strength in those days. She'd cry that he
had to die without a spouse to love him.
And when he died, she could only recall having given birth
to him 29 years earlier. She didn't know which was more
difficult. She knew that she was essential to each event.
